Institutional delegation from the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina visiting Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

On May 29 and 30, 2023, the delegation from the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Prime Minister Radovan Viškovič and Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Vojin Mitrović, visited Friuli-Venezia Giulia to meet with businesses and institutions.

Seven appointments marked the rhythm of the two days at the end of May: seven meetings in which the guests of the Delegation met with different realities and institutions in the area, laying the groundwork for future initiatives and collaborations. The main objective of the visit was to present and seize opportunities for commercial, cultural and educational collaboration, enhancing the Collaboration Agreement signed in 2012.

Among the highlights of the two days was a meeting open to companies, organized at the Valduga Hall of the Udine Chamber of Commerce, with the participation of Prime Minister Radovan Višković, Vojin Mitrović, the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, and the Mayors of Laktaši, Miroslav Bojić, and Gradiška, Zoran Adžić. Eros Goi, General Manager of Finest, Roberto Corciulo, President of IC & Partners, and Sergio Bini, Councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, also spoke.

Not only business, but also education and research. In fact, there was no shortage of moments of exchange with the universities of Udine and Trieste. From the visit to the Lab Village laboratories of the University of Udine, together with Professors Alberti, Trevisan, Sortino and Gasparetto; to the round table on training and research issues held at the University of Trieste, led by Pro Rector, Prof. Sergo. Two moments of sharing goals, projects and initiatives between the universities of the region and those of Sarajevo and Banjaluka, represented by their respective Faculty Deans, Milija Kraišnik and Stevo Borojevic.

The conclusion of the visit took place in Coseano, a municipality twinned with the city of Laktasi and home to the headquarters of PMP Industries, which was the setting for two moments of great significance. President Luigino Pozzo signed an agreement with the Mayor of Laktasi to establish a new plant in Laktaši, marking an important step forward in relations between the two territories. In addition, a meeting open to the citizenship was organized, led by Mayor David Asquini, with guests of the Delegation, representatives of Local Institutions and the promoter, Luigino Pozzo, taking the stage.

The connection between PMP and Republika Srpska has very deep roots. Since the opening of the first plant in 2006, we have always felt at home, recognizing the many similarities between the two territories and the people who inhabit them. This new chapter in our #cooperation represents not only an important strategic choice to shorten the supply chain and make us even more independent, but also a concrete plan for significant #growth for both territories. A shared commitment that aims to generate a positive economic and social impact, promoting sustainable and lasting development.
